A summer ago, we took the kids out west to try and catch up with some of the family. We managed to spend a day with my cousin Bruce Hepburn and his wife Edith in their new home in the Kootenays, near Nelson, BC. We also got to see Neal and Rob Hepburn when we spent a couple of days with Uncle Don and Aunt Joan in Red Deer.
Neal made sure we had some good Alberta Beef in our burgers. His sharp mind had me spinning when he explained some financial/economic stuff he's working with in his teaching duties at Camrose. He also set me up with an old PC which we took home with us in the plane, insisting that Ubuntu - Linux was the way to go. I'm yet to be convinced, but we gave it a good go.
